"I'm working on a building, I'm working on a building --
I'm working on a building for my Lord, for my Lord."
We're working on a building here in Ensenada, and, yes, there will be a family here that will be blessed by the work. But, in truth, we're really building it for God. And so our crew picked up their hammers - several of whom have never had a hammer in their hands before - and willingly do something outside our comfort zone for God. As Monday ended, where there was only slab, four walls had risen.
During our evening devotion, Jeff McClain, who was on the work crew on Monday, pointed out that our construction leaders -- Steve Waldron, Danny Alexander and Paul Perry -- are good at what they do and always take pride in doing a job well. It doesn't matter if you might be building a house for free -- you give it your best. Because the person you're actually building it for is God...and one of his chosen, holy and dearly loved children.
And while we were yet sinners, He gave us His best.
