Sunday - The Close of Our Day

Even though most every moment of our day is spent in service to the children, each other and ultimately to God, we begin and end each day in purposeful quiet reflection on God - through his word and how He has shown us his face during the day. And for those with eyes to see, God makes Himself known here in countless ways - in the smile of child, in the fact language is no barrier between those who love the Lord, in the service and caring seen in one another, in the words your teens offer up and share at the end of the day as they reflect on their Lord. And so we circle at the end of the day and say a prayer. Thankful for the opportunity we've had and filled with anticipation and wonder at what God has planned and His surprises for the day ahead.  Good night!

One longtime NBYG tradition here at the City is the nightly awarding of the Festival of Sharing Hat. It's a hat retrieved year's ago by Skid from a yard sale that has been given new life as an award given to the team member who that day exhibited an extra measure of service. Tonight the Festival of Sharing Hat was awarded to Noah Waldron.
